Screened Gazebos

The use of screened gazebos has slowly increased over the last 50 years. Families use them as a place to relax in the natural surroundings of a garden or backyard.

When selecting among screened gazebos, here are a few points you should consider:

1. The space you have allotted for the gazebo.

2. The type of activities you are looking to conduct in the gazebo and the material from which you intend to built a gazebo. If you are not sure how to measure your lawn or garden, contact a professional who will take all the measurements necessary to ensure that you choose the right gazebo design for the space.

If a table and chairs will be used in the gazebo, you should have an overall space of 12 feet so that the furnishings will fit comfortably with room to move around.

3. If it will be built for a special occasion and it is a temporary one, you can pick a vinyl gazebo as it is easy to construct and easy to dismantle when the ceremony and/or activities are over. The gazebo design has a lot to do with the activities that will be held there. For example, if it is meant for a wedding, there are gazebo designs made to suit such an occasion.

Benefits

If you are fortunate enough to have a gazebo in your yard then you already know the benefits. It is a great place to sit and unwind after a long and grueling day at the job. A gazebo is also a wonderful addition to

any landscaping plans. Screened gazebos are more than just a pretty structure. They can be a great place to have family get-togethers and activities. Some people use their gazebos for a romantic get away, even if they are only getting away to the back yard.

Screened gazebos will hold up well in all kinds of weather because they are usually made of appropriate materials. Be sure that the plans are followed during installation. This will ensure that it will hold up to the wind.

The screening provides comfort during evening hours when bugs are active. If you have an existing gazebo without screening, it can easily be added. This will certainly enhance your outdoor comfort.

An important question has to do with the floor, and how the gazebo is anchored. There are three popular surfaces: a wood deck, a slab of concrete, and pavers. Your outdoor gazebo will need to be secured by a professional.

Make sure you know ahead of time which surface you are going to be using because each of these surfaces will need a different set of tools and fittings that will anchor the gazebo. This is key because you want your anchor to be sturdy and secure so that your gazebo does not shift.

There are so many shapes and sizes for screened gazebos that it might be difficult to choose the best design for you. Make sure the area you're considering is measured and discuss your options with the retailer (who is presumably an expert). You can find free gazebo designs online along with measurement details that will help you figure out if they are suitable for your backyard, garden or lawn.

For temporary usage you can rent a gazebo for backyard events, and you can get professionals to set it up and take it down once the festivities are over. Having your own gazebo will get you in touch with nature more often as you will have a protected place where you can enjoy a meal, an afternoon with a book and/or any other activities that you may have in mind. Make sure the furnishings are comfortable.
