Remote Light Switch
One of the newest devices to make our lives more comfortable is the remote light switch. With this device, you can turn on and off any programmed light at your home, without having to leave your chair.
Here are some of the most common ways that the remote light switch is used:
1. If the wiring at your home is really complicated, this means that you have a lot of transmitters and a lot of receivers.
With these remote switches, you can use only one receiver for all those transmitters. Furthermore, you can use the switch in your car, because usually there is a built-in transmitter.
2. If you have to remodel your home, you can use this switch to eliminate the wiring at the switch. That way you will not have to make holes in the walls.
3. If the master bedroom only has a switch at the door, and you walk from the door to the bed in the dark every night, now you will be able to turn the light off from the bed.
4. Finally, these are often used in log homes. In this type of house it is both costly and difficult to wire your outlets and switches.
You will have to drill a lot of holes, which in some cases might damage other components of your log home. Unless the wiring is done during the original construction of the log home, most additional wiring is surface-mounted - not very pretty.
A remote control for your lights offers convenience and flexibility. It allows you to control several lights in your house from one spot.
In situations where you are planning a renovation, having wireless on/off devices will not only save you the hassle and expense of wiring, but will also give you the flexibility to move things around with ease.

Wireless light switches will surely make your life easier and more comfortable. The best part is wireless switches are not expensive.
These switches come with a remote control and a battery. The remote control is water resistant (not water proof). There are several models of the switches which are available with varying qualities, specifications and prices.
Versatile
These usually have a maximum transmission range of 60 feet and the rays can pass through walls, doors and floors. It is one of those useful devices for holidays and landscape lights, for pool lighting and security lights.
These remote devices can be very useful if you are disabled. However, (in my opinion) we're all moving less when we should be looking for more ways to exercise. So I would reserve these devices for emergency use only (but that's me).
